Early Education and Care at McGill Learning Center
At McGill Learning Center, we believe that early education and care go hand in hand in helping young children grow into curious, confident, and compassionate learners. For over 50 years, our ministry of McGill Baptist Church has provided a nurturing environment where children ages 6 weeks to 5 years can thrive—spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically.

The Importance of Early Education
Our early education and care program is built on the understanding that every child learns best when they feel safe, loved, and supported. Through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships, children develop the foundational skills they’ll carry into kindergarten and beyond. Each day at McGill is filled with laughter, learning, and discovery—guided by teachers who truly care.
We offer full-day programs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., designed to meet the needs of busy families while providing a consistent and enriching experience for children. With family-style dining, a peanut-free policy, and a faith-based approach that celebrates kindness and community, McGill Learning Center is truly “a nurturing place to grow.”
The earliest years of a child’s life are a time of remarkable growth. During this stage, a child’s brain develops more rapidly than at any other time, forming the foundation for learning, health, and behavior. High-quality early education and care help children develop essential skills in language, problem-solving, and emotional understanding—skills that last a lifetime.
At McGill Learning Center, we view each child as a capable, unique individual created in God’s image. Our teachers gently guide children as they discover new ideas, learn to express their feelings, and build friendships. We balance structured activities with open-ended play, ensuring that children learn both independence and cooperation.
Early care is also about meeting a child’s physical and emotional needs. Our classrooms are designed to feel like a second home—bright, welcoming spaces where little ones feel safe and loved. We follow predictable routines that give children a sense of security, and we celebrate every milestone, from first steps to first friendships. By combining care with purposeful learning, we help children develop confidence and a love for learning that prepares them for kindergarten and beyond.
What Families Can Expect from Our Program
When families join McGill Learning Center, they become part of a caring community. We know that entrusting your child to someone else’s care is a big decision, which is why we emphasize open communication and partnership with parents.
Our early education and care program includes:
- Age-appropriate classrooms for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-kindergarten students.
- Qualified, compassionate teachers who receive ongoing training in child development and faith-based education.
- A balanced daily schedule that includes learning centers, outdoor play, group time, and rest.
- Nutritious, family-style meals prepared with children’s health and safety in mind.
- Faith-based values that encourage kindness, gratitude, and respect for others.
- Strong family engagement, including parent conferences, classroom updates, and special events.

We believe that learning happens best through relationships—between children and teachers, teachers and families, and families and the wider community. Every classroom at McGill reflects this philosophy, with teachers who take time to listen, guide, and celebrate each child’s individual growth.
Through intentional care and early education, children learn not only academic concepts but also empathy, patience, and faith. We see every child as a part of God’s story and every day as an opportunity to nurture their potential.
Building a Foundation for Lifelong Learning
Early education and care are more than just preparation for school—they’re the building blocks for a meaningful life. When children are surrounded by love, encouragement, and gentle guidance, they learn to trust the world around them and approach learning with joy.
At McGill Learning Center, our goal is to cultivate a deep sense of wonder and belonging. We integrate hands-on learning with opportunities for creativity, movement, and spiritual growth. Whether it’s exploring nature in our outdoor spaces, engaging in music and art, or hearing Bible stories that teach timeless lessons, every experience is designed to nurture the whole child.
Our teachers model Christian values such as patience, kindness, and love, helping children develop not only academic readiness but also strong moral character. These early lessons in compassion and cooperation shape how children see themselves and others—creating a foundation for both school success and lifelong well-being.
We also understand the importance of consistency and connection. Families can count on a safe, structured environment that supports both the child’s growth and the parents’ peace of mind. With daily communication, supportive staff, and a community-centered approach, McGill Learning Center is a place where families feel valued and children flourish.
By combining expert care, early education, and faith-based guidance, McGill Learning Center remains dedicated to its mission: to be a nurturing place to grow—spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
