Established on May 1, 1970, as McGill Avenue Day Care, MLC began as a ministry of McGill Baptist Church to meet the growing childcare needs of the community. Over the years, it evolved into McGill Child Development Center and, more recently, adopted the name McGill Learning Center. In 1997, the preschool moved to its current location at 375 George W. Liles Parkway NW in Concord, with the church following a few years later.
